About
Daniel Simpson

I have lived and worked in the Louth Wolds district since 1969. I am very aware of the benefits and difficulties of living and working in a rural community. I decided a few years ago to put something back into the community and to run for election in 2003, the outcome of which saw me elected as a Parish Councillor for Scamblesby with Cawkwell Parish Council and also as a District Councillor representing the Ludford Ward at East Lindsey District Council. I am still serving on both.

In 2005 I was asked if I would consider being the Local Education Authority governor, one of two, for Scamblesby Church of England Primary School and went on to serve a four year term. I also became a member of the Scamblesby Village Hall Committee serving on that until 2008. This background continues to be useful in dealing with people, issues and officialdom. I have experience in what, where and when to ask the questions, help people through the minefields of bureaucracy, challenge effectively whilst offering and enabling solutions.

As an Independent I have been able to work effectively alongside and for residents to achieve a result in the best interests of residents and not some national party political agenda.
